Head to head: Rabat

As the excitement builds ahead of Africa's first ever Diamond League meeting, we present two brilliant, all-African duels set to grace the Meeting International Mohamed VI in Rabat on Sunday.

1. Men’s 800m: Nijel Amos vs Mohammed Aman

Nijel Amos and Mohammed Aman have both won the Diamond Race on two occasions in the past, often going head to head with each other, as well as Kenyan legend David Rudisha, for the Diamond Trophy.

After Rudisha failed to win in Shanghai last week, both Amos and Aman will feel they are well placed to make a good start to the Diamond Race in Rabat.

@nijel_zoro_amos and Mohammed #Aman have four Diamond Trophies between them. The two #African legends will go head to head when their continent hosts its first #DiamondLeague meeting on Sunday. #RabatDL

2. Men’s 3000m Steeplechase: Conseslus Kipruto vs Jairus Birech

Jairus Birech has won both of the last two Diamond Races, after relieving Kipruto of the crown he won back in 2013. Both athletes are at the very top of the men’s steeple. After Kipruto’s win on the opening night in Doha, Birech is the one who has it all to do if he is to defend his title and win a third Diamond Trophy this season.

#DiamondRace winners Jairus #Birech and Conseslus Kipruto is just one of the thrilling all #African head to heads in store for #RabatDL
