Stockholm: Bartoletta, Hoffa and Perkovic win early thrillers
USA’s Tianna Bartoletta, who arrived in Stockholm with the top four women’s long jumps of 2014 to her credit, announced on the eve of this IAAF Diamond League meeting that she was competitive about everything, including “who can load the dishwasher fastest.”

Diamond Race: Pre Stockholm Update

How the track comes on the Diamond Trophy
Each year since the inaugural season of the IAAF Diamond League in 2010 the 32 winners of the Diamond Races receive along with the overall prize money a prestigious Diamond Trophy. Each trophy features three real athletics tracks in the shape of a lap holding a diamond. Now with four more events to go in 2014, all eyes are set on it.

Olympic and Commonwealth long jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford (coach: Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo) is the latest name to confirm that he will compete in the Sainsbury’s Birmingham Grand Prix on Sunday 24 August.

Stockholm: Blanka Vlasic and Emma Green to compete at DN Galan
Two of athletics most popular stars, Blanka Vlasic and Emma Green, will compete in the high jump at DN Galan on 21 August. Blanka is back at elite level after a long struggle with injuries. She is currently ranked second in the world this year after two 2.00 metre jumps in Paris and London.
