The Wanda Diamond League hurtles into the final bend this weekend with the penultimate qualification meeting of the season in Xiamen, China.
The first Diamond League meeting on Chinese soil since 2019, the inaugural meeting in Xiamen promises fireworks, after former world champion Fred Kerley and Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs poured fuel on the fire of their 100m rivalry with some tough talk at Friday’s press conference.
Jamaican legends Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson-Herah will also be in action, as will world champions such as 110m hurdler Grant Holloway and high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh.
The action in Xiamen begins at 18:10 local time (GMT+8) with the women’s high jump, and the man programme kicks off at 19:00 with the men’s 400m.
